If you've been following me on Facebook, then I'm sure you remember this guy. Anton is tall, dark, handsome and one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. I have know Anton for a few years now and when he told me that he was starting to do promo work and wanted to get a bit of a portfolio together I was super stoked for him! he is one of the most personable, fun and caring guys I know. He makes everyone laugh and just constantly wants everyone to have a good time. I feel so blessed to be a part of this new journey he is embarking on! I hope these photos, along with your obvious skills, help to bring you great things Anton!

I never really thought of myself as a sentimental person until I started photographing families and couples. I never realized how much I enjoyed seeing the love between people until I was sitting in front of my computer screen and squealing with excitement with every loving look between people. I even have to hold back tears at every wedding ceremony I photograph. The love between people is just so beautiful. And that sentimental excitement only gets worse when I photograph people that I have known for a good chunk of my life. I have known Iris since I was probably 6 years old. We used to play Spice Girls together, along with our sisters, and pretend that moments like the ones I captured of her and Paul, were happening to us. It turns out that having a real relationship isn't quite how we pictured it when we were 7, but it's just as beautiful in real life. Life may not be a fairy tale, but there are many fairy tale moments along the way. On a less sentimental note, we used Paul's gorgeous car as a prop in this session. It was my first time photographing a couple with a car. Pretty fun prop if you ask me!
A month and a half ago I had the pleasure of photographing an incredibly beautiful wedding. The wedding took place at the Craig Heritage Park and Museum in Parksville and was a photographer's dream. The weather was perfect for photos, the colors of the buildings, flowers and decor were perfect and the bride's classic an simple dress and accessories fit perfectly with the surroundings. Even the children ended up all matching. It made for incredibly beautiful photos. On top of all the details being perfect, the couple and their family and friends were all a pleasure to work with as well!! I also had the pleasure of having Dr. Kathie Black as my assistant photographer for the event :) Thanks again Kathie for hooking me up with this beautiful wedding and for taking so many beautiful photos! A couple of months ago (yep, I'm behind on blog posts!), I got to hang out with this lovely lady and take some photos of her hanging out in the forest, up on a mountain and along the ocean. We are so blessed to live in a place that provides us with endless vistas for beautiful photographs! I really couldn't ask for anything better. So much variety and all locations within 20 minutes of one another!
I usually post my blogs based on order that they took place, but this beautiful mommy is about to pop so she gets first dibs this week! haha. The theme for this session was mother nature, for two very obvious reasons: Amanda is about to be a mommy to her second baby and we took the photos in the forest :) It turned out looking to natural and west coast with the moss and cedar trees and classic west coast hippie style. I'm so happy with how these photos turned out with this beautiful mommy and I can't wait to meet the new little one!! I used the Brenizer Method to create three of these images (can you guess which three?!) and the rest were single frame images. I love doing themed portrait sessions with couples! Especially when they are as into being creative and silly as I am. These two were definitely super into being creative and having fun with their Christmas theme, and to make it even better, they live at an incredibly beautiful beach house that gave us so many opportunities for gorgeous portrait backdrops. I can't wait to collaborate with these two on some more projects!
I will be in Calgary from December 8-16 with times available for portrait sessions! Message me if you are interested in booking a lifestyle portrait sessions in the snow :)
